The Dyspraxia Foundation is a countrywide charity, founded in 1987 as the Dyspraxia Trust by two mothers who met at Great Ormond Street Hospital for Sick Children. Lactation Consultants of Great Britain (LCGB) are International Board Certified Lactation Consultants, (IBCLC) and support breastfeeding families in a variety of situations. Many of them are employed in the health care system as midwives, neonatal nurses or health visitors. Others work as breastfeeding counsellors in the voluntary breastfeeding organisations. Parent Lifeline offers emotional support and understanding to parents under stress of any kind, whatever the ages of their children. Parent Lifeline is not just a helpline for times of crisis, but for any time that a mother or father feels the need for someone to turn to and talk things over with a sympathetic listener. They believe that asking for help is a sign of responsibility, not a mark of failure. Parent Lifeline can often suggest further avenues of help if the caller wishes. St James’ Priory Project: Drug & Alcohol Addiction Treatment - St James’ Priory Project provides abstinence based support and treatment for people with a substance dependency. Walsingham House is a ‘first stage’ residential rehab service for up to 14 people and includes an integrated Dual Diagnosis programme. Treatment lasts 12 weeks.
