So we're pleased to to be able to offer Primary School – A Parent’s Guide and Secondary School – A Parent’s Guide by Need2Know.

Both books are designed to guide parents through their child’s school years, offering help with the admissions procedure, deciphering the jargon that inevitably comes with our education system and offering help with issues such as homework, bullying, parent’s evenings and exams.

Kim Thomas, the author of Primary School – A Parent’s Guide, is a parent governor at her daughter’s school and a freelance journalist specialising in education and parenting. She wanted the book to act as a helpful guide taking parents from the first step of applying for a primary school place right through to Year 6 and the transition to secondary school. The book covers the Foundation Stage, Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 explaining the what your child will learn and how to cope with the dreaded SATs.
