Are you in control of your eating habits, or do they control you? Does your self esteem depend on how many calories you have dodged or indulge in? Do you faithfully follow low fat diets wondering why you lose a bit of weight, and then get stuck? If you are obsessed with avoiding fat and calories, you may be doing more harm than good. Find out how food has changed, but why our metabolism is confused. We live in a fast paced, high tech society but evolution takes time. Our stone-age weight regulation system cannot cope with today’s eating habits. The key to losing weight is to understand why you put on weight in the first place. With this book you will discover which foods affect your mood, and cause you to put on weight. Are you ready to unlock the power, which you already have, to change your eating habits - and be the person you really want to be?

Customer Reviews...

Fraser Clyne -
Chris has set out the "real food" message in an entertaining and very readable way. These matters can often become too technical, so it's great to find a book in which everything is explained and thoroughly argued in such a clear and concise manner. Chris writes extremely well. This book is essential reading for anyone interested in health and well-being. Congratulations on a great job.

We know that diets don't work in the long term and now Chris Fenn explains why! She uses just enough science for it to make sense but all written in a chatty, readable style. Lots of food for thought and common sense advice on why we eat the wrong things and how to eat the right things - which aren't necessarily the things you expect.

Kathy Dale -
I read this book cover to cover in an afternoon and found it incredibly revealing about the food industry and how we feel about food. Chris has written a very readable book that is full of useful information and should dispel a few myths about dieting and health. The first part deals with the problems we have with food but explains the effects of fats and sugars on the body in an easily understood manner. The second part deals with solutions, which are actually quire simple - eat well and live a happy life, as she often says to her clients!
