These matters can often become too technical, so it's great to find a book in which everything is explained and thoroughly argued in such a clear and concise manner. We know that diets don't work in the long term and now Chris Fenn explains why! She uses just enough science for it to make sense but all written in a chatty, readable style. Lots of food for thought and common sense advice on why we eat the wrong things and how to eat the right things - which aren't necessarily the things you expect.

I read this book cover to cover in an afternoon and found it incredibly revealing about the food industry and how we feel about food. Chris has written a very readable book that is full of useful information and should dispel a few myths about dieting and health. The first part deals with the problems we have with food but explains the effects of fats and sugars on the body in an easily understood manner. The second part deals with solutions, which are actually quire simple - eat well and live a happy life, as she often says to her clients!
